Root Canal
What is a root canal for?

Root canal therapy is a dental technique commonly used to repair diseased or damaged teeth. Despite its reputation being painful, modern and local anesthetics make it no more unpleasant than having a filling placed. During the procedure, the infected or damaged tissue inside the tooth (known as the "p") is removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleansed and sealed. An endodontist, a specialist in root canal treatment, or a general dentist with additional training in the procedure typically performs the treatment.
How is it done?

To ensure a comfortable experience, the area surrounding the tooth will be numbed before the treatment. You should not feel any discomfort during the procedure. Afterward, you may experience some sensitivity or discomfort, but this can usually
be managed with over-the-counter pain medication. Contrary to popular, root canal treatment is often no more painful than getting a filling, thanks to modern techniques
and local anesthesia.
